Spiders are predatory insects that will move indoors (especially during the cooler months) to find secure areas to build their webs. Spiders become a nuisance when they build their webs in inconvenient places inside homes, such as eaves, shutters, or window frames.

Spider webs can also be quite unsightly on the exterior of homes and other buildings.
